The 2016 Script Writing Workshop

The HomeVida 2016 Script Writing workshop held last week at the School of Media and Communications, Pan Atlantic University and it was an exciting experience for everyone. The 2-day workshop organized by HomeVida brought together scriptwriters, film makers and CSOs to train them on the various aspects of scriptwriting as well as highlight the importance of inspiring change with a script.

They were treated to various sessions facilitated by renowned Nollywood filmmakers and scriptwriters such as Sam Uche Anyamele, Ehizioje Ojesebholo, Ifesinachi Okoli-Okpagu, Chris Odeh and Ebele Enebeli.

HomeVida partners, SACE were also present to give a brief insight into their program and how participants can address Transparency, Accountability and Good Governance Issues in film.

Patrick Enaholo of the School of Media and Communication also took the participants through the Script Bank and its processes. The Script Bank is birthed from the Creative Film Project (an initiative of HomeVida and the School of Media and Communication) and is aimed at providing young and upcoming scriptwriters with a digital space to store their creative works and showcase them to a wider audience.

To wrap up the workshop on the 2nd day, the participants were presented with certificates of attendance by the Dean of the School of Media and Communication, Dr. Ikechukwu Obiaya.

In 3 words, it was Fun! Fun! Fun!
