The winners of the 2017 Homevida Short Script Competition are…

 

The Jury has decided!!!

Hey guys, we are excited to announce  the winners for the 2017 Homevida short script competition. It was hard to select the winner as all scripts were captivating, interesting and creative but finally a winner for each category emerged!!! Homevida wishes to say a very big thank you to all the participant and advice that you all should never stop writing amazing stories.

This year Homevida received a total number of 119 scripts for countering hate speech/radicalisation and terrorism terrorism category supported by Google and 299 scripts for Transparency, Accountability and Good Governance (TAGG) category endowed by USAID-SACE.

After all the hard work and effort to reading 418 scripts, the 2017 Homevida Jury met and agreed on the following winning scripts.

And the winner for Transparency, Accountability and Good Governance (TAGG) Category endowed by the Strengthening Advocacy and Civic Engagement  (SACE) programme of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is…

Kehinde Oluwaseun for the script Dilemma Here is his profile

 

Kehinde Oluwaseun is a 23 year old screen writer/film and TV director. He received a B.Tech degree from the federal university of technology Akure in Industrial Design and is currently running a professional course training in writing and directing for film and TV. He started from writing short stories for publications and stage plays, before delving into screen writing professionally in 2015.

Michael Joseph Osabor for the script Man in the Mirror. Here is his profile

Michael Joseph Osabor is a 22 year old passionate writer from Edo State. He emerged the winner through the help of his mother who believed in his dream of learning the art of professional screenwriting and gave up a lot to see him through.
